Student Absent Today

Please call the school or fill out the form below and submit by 9:00 a.m. This form serves to notify the school of your student’s absence today and acts as an excuse note. An electronic or written excuse note must be provided within five days of your student’s return to school. Parents and guardians may submit up to ten written excuse notes each year; beyond that, a doctor’s note will be required.

Excused Absences:

Only 10 absences are allowed each Semester, students and parents should seriously consider not being absent for frivolous reasons in case a legitimate need to be absent arises later.

Absences that are supported by an excuse note will be excused for the following reasons,

  • MEDICAL: Absences due to medical reasons must be documented with a note from a parent/guardian or doctor, submitted within five days of the student’s return from absence.

  • SCHOOL HEALTH POLICY: Students sent home with a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher should not return to school until a full 24 hours have passed since the fever has subsided without medication.

  • DEATH IN IMMEDIATE FAMILY

  • EMERGENCIES 

  • PRE-PLANNED ABSENCE: Families are requested to notify the school at least ten days in advance for any pre-planned absences. We kindly ask that no absences be scheduled during the final 10 days of the school year. 

Some examples of accepted pre-planned absences include:

  • Traveling

  • Attending an immediate family member’s wedding

Unexcused Absences:

  • No parent/guardian communication is provided in the timely manner
